About Dan Balch

I am a mortgage broker and our company Mortgage Architects is a National Brokerage. I own my own office and have nine other agents working under me. I do have a storefront in London, but we do a lot of mobile, and web-based business.

I have been working in mortgages for twenty-one years and our company has been doing the same for seven. However, the principals who started the company have been doing so for many, many years before Mortgage Architects was started.

Over the last seven years, we have been growing, and as technologies have changed, we’ve embraced them. I do a lot of business with my smartphone now but still, love to meet face to face with a client. With technology, it is much easier to keep in contact with clients and we do a better job at that now.

My base of work is in London, but due to some great real estate connections, I have served all around London with a high proportion of deals in Woodstock, and while spring and summer are usually peak seasons, autumn has been a busy time for us, as well.

The Dan Balch Difference

I often hear clients that have been referred to me say “I don't think this can be done, but I was told if there’s anybody who can do the deal, Dan will get it done.”

What sets me apart from my competitors is this belief in me, as well as the fact that I care for clients and always put them first. I like to think of most of my clients as friends, and I will be there for them years down the line and not just up to closing. This helps me look at the bigger picture, i.e. debt, investments, insurances and building a plan for the future.

While I have been part of the President’s Club at our company, I derive the most joy from satisfied clients that keep referring to others.

I do not have an average customer and that’s the wonderful thing about this business. I get to help a wide variety of clients including those who are credit impaired or self-employed. However, I love working with first-time homebuyers.

One of my dreams for the future is getting growing and becoming more efficient with dealing with paperwork. However, in line with the green policy we follow, we try and recycle everything we use.

For all that we receive from the community, we choose to give back by working closely with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
